This drug differs from typical oral steroids in that it is not c-17 alpha alkylated, which means that it is not digested by the liver. Testosterone undecanoate capsules bypass the liver and are partially absorbed through the lymphatic system, maintaining stable testosterone levels in the body. This means that this steroid is not toxic to the liver and is therefore considered a safer method of taking testosterone than other oral forms that are toxic to the liver.
